I created this Email Lesson for my 5th grade Digital Essentials class in the 2020-2021 school year. It was assigned when we were learning remotely, so students could either complete it over Zoom independently, or asynchronously on their own time in the case of technical difficulties. The lesson includes video, audio, interactive elements, as well as sections to read. This lesson covers several aspects of email (we activate email in the 5th grade at the middle school, and it is meant to accompany email roll-out) including:

• The Mail app
• The different “parts” of an email (cc, bcc, etc.)
• Subject lines
• Salutations
• Sign-offs
