National Poetry Month Display

April was National Poetry Month, and we had some of our favorite poetry books on display (including books of poetry by Nikki Giovanni, Mary Oliver, Shel Silverstein & more!)

About National Poetry Month: “National Poetry Month was inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996. Over the years, it has become the largest literary celebration in the world with schools, publishers, libraries, booksellers, and poets celebrating poetry’s vital place in our culture.” – Nat’l Poetry Month Homepage

BC Middle Book Madness Brackets

Our 2019 BC Middle Book Madness has begun! Here’s a photo of our window display (with no bracket winners announced as of yet). Students will first make their initial winning predictions on a bracket, and then vote per week, eliminating books each round until the “Best Book” is announced in April. May the best book win!

BC Book Madness Contenders

These titles are hard to keep on the shelf because of their popularity! But we do have a display of our BC Book Madness contenders that haven’t been checked out. These 16 original book contenders are sorted into the four categories of: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Graphic Novels & Young Adult. Books will be taken off display as elimination voting occurs!
